NEW !! Cheney Case Latch Replacement ( Brass ) w/ rivets

The very new Cheney latch now has a new owner. The hasp (top part ) is cast instead of being stamped. The spring is suppose to be stronger ( finally )  and the lock ring is
knurled
once again instead of plain. Cost a bit more .
Cheney sold that division out some time ago. The new company did make them the same size and  dimensions etc. Except for a couple of  small  cosmetic  changes.The latch is 2″1/4 long and 1″1/4 high, as the original Cheney.. Shown is a Brass (gold)  … The price is per latch.. ( 1 ) ..  I   HAVE REPAIR KITS if you need extra ones..
The Nickel latch is on a different item # .
Some of the NEW and OLD   Cheney ( top ,hasp )  latches don’t interchange with the VINTAGE  60’s  the 70’s and the 80’s ,  So you have to change the top and bottom together as always. We  finished two California Guitar Shows, and a dealer bought some Cheney latches from me, and the hasp  (top  part ) interchanged with his bottom latch.. It was a rectangular ’69 Fender guitar case…. Go figure????? Some do, some don’t??????
The same key  works on both latches  if you purchase 2 (2 keys provided ) or if you purchase 1 latch ,(1-key provided)  .. There are no lefts or rights, just flip them around.
